TiendaDeBienestar — 2026 Refactor

TiendaDeBienestar.com is our own nutrition store, online since 2015 and shipping across Argentina. In August 2026 we refactored it end to end: the business and the catalogue stayed the same, everything underneath changed. The store moved from PrestaShop 1.6 on PHP 7.2 — an unsupported release tied to an unmaintained PHP — to PrestaShop 9 on PHP 8.4.

The key piece was the theme. The store depended on a purchased theme that was no longer maintained and blocked every version upgrade; we replaced it with an in-house theme, a child of the official one, which inherits core updates instead of freezing them. Orders and customers came through untouched, and the oldest accounts still sign in with the same password as always, with nothing asked of the customer.

The result is the same store on a supported foundation with no third-party licences: automated deployment from the repository, catalogue and rankings preserved, and the business rule — prices are visible only once signed in, as Herbalife requires — enforced across the site.
